In 1992 Huanglong (黄龙) together with nearby Jiuzhaigou aka Jiuzhai Valley (九寨沟), were both designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. When visiting Jiuzhaigou, one should absolutely not miss visiting Huanglong too. It's a spectacular scenic walk about 2.5 hours from Jiuzhaigou.
There's a daily limit for visitors to Huanglong (as well as Jiuzhaigou National Park) so you'll want to book in advance to make sure you don't miss out.
We spent a total of about 6 hours at Huanglong.
