This is a custom Vacuum Chamber Port plate that we made for our Client. The client contacted us one year after purchasing our vacuum chamber looking to add more features to their vacuum chamber. The requirements were challenging as they wanted a hydraulic line feedthrough, a vacuum electrical power feedthrough, and vacuum thermocouple feedthrough. There was no way we could do this to our standard chamber.
Fortunately, we had an idea to modify the current standard port plate he already had on his chamber and to move components around so that we can add the other components. The final results is a new vacuum port plate that you can see in this video. This port plate will now replace the current port them they already have on their acrylic vacuum chamber.
This option was something that will work a lot better for them instead of having them send the chamber back, have us add the additional ports to the side wall, and then resent it back to them again. Not to mention the tremendously savings on time and money several times over.
