How to disable or hide the ribbon in Office 2013?

Hi my name is Roger Ahuja and I’m just going to take a moment and show you how to hide the ribbon in Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Publisher, Microsoft Powerpoint. So I’m going to open up Word here and open a blank document and there’s a ribbon already there and just click on this icon here on the top and you can auto hide it in which case it just goes away and I can put in This is a test and bring it back by just clicking up here. The other option is to just show the tabs which is going to show you just the tabs and then when you click on them, the ribbon shows up and of course you can show tabs and commands and this is back to normal. On a side note, the other thing that I’ve noticed that sometime happens is people have gone into read mode by accident even and the document will show up like this and they don’t know what happened all their ribbons are gone and they’re confused. You can just hit escape and it will take you out of read mode and you can also view and edit document to get out of read mode and that’s it. Keyboard Shortcut CTRL F1.
