How to install a tile shower pan easy and get pro results the first time.
This install uses a Schluter shower tray with GoBoard wall backer.
The tray and walls are set with a 1/8–1/4” perimeter gap (per manufacturer specs).
Not 1/2" — that would prevent proper waterproofing.
All seams and transitions are fully sealed with Kerdi Band, then coated with MAPEI AquaDefense for a complete waterproof system.
