Here's Everlong by the Foo Fighters off their 1997 album 'The Colour and the Shape'. Wow - what a song eh!? A drummers song.. a high intensity outpouring of sonic power that helped catapult the Foo Fighters to mega stardom. We love it and it was about 18 months ago upon the untimely death of the amazing Taylor Hawkins that we started learning this song. Our drummer Ashley has been fine tuning her skills since then and can more comfortably play this song now. Considering that she's only been playing drums 3 years and is self taught we reckon she's awesome. There may be some other tricks, but she's learned that the approach to this song is to simply to 'Unleash the Beast'! Good on ya Ashley - you're awesome! This is our last cover for 2023... It's been a great year musically for our band and we'll see you again next year!!
Rumpus Machine is a sibling rock band playing live classic rock music and original songs! We are brothers and sisters from Auckland in New Zealand. We like to learn and perform new songs together and play modern music and classic rock songs. We also write our own original songs too and publish to Spotify & Apple Music etc. We like to play live if we can - but also enjoying sharing our music online. We like to learn the new songs and polish them up as much as we can before we decide they’re ready to video and share. It’s gives us something to aim for and it’s also good to have for the future.
Ashley on drums and Hannah on the bass are twins and 13 years old. Matthew on guitar is 14 and Daniel on guitar and lead vocals is 16. Thanks for watching!
