I'm often asked for assistance in buying genuine land in Ghana. Some have bought land from recommendations I made when we built our house. Some land owners have approached me to help in finding prospective land buyers.
Today we went looking at some land for sale in Kopodor, in the up and coming area of Ningo-Prampram. The land is not far from the Aflao Road and also The Central University. This land is litigation free. A Supreme Court judgement is covering this family land and the Title Certificate. As with any land purchase, it is paramount one exercises due diligence and do the necessary searches and checks before committing to buying in Africa. There are companies that deal with all the paperwork on your behalf, they tend to charge a premium for the service.
In Kopodor the land is genuine and relatively cheap if you are willing to put in the hard work.
A plot is sold in Ghana Cedis for under 50,000 GhC for a plot size of 70'x100'. Farm land and agricultural Lease are available. The Lease for one acre for the year is 600 GhC.
Commercial and warehouses land is dependent on the type of business.
