Harvest & Slurry Contracts Closing Year 1 in the Scottish Highlands | FS25 Kinlaig Timelapse Ep 6

Welcome back to Kinlaig — the Scotland-inspired map in Farming Simulator 25 (FS25)! 🌄
In Episode 6 of our cinematic timelapse series we wrap up the last big jobs before winter: harvesting soybeans, finishing field prep for next year’s corn, spreading slurry to boost next season’s yields, and expanding the dairy herd to weather the snowy months. This episode is all about closing out Year 1 strong and setting the farm up for a big Year 2 on Kinlaig.

🐄 Episode 6 Highlights

Soybean harvest & contract: Took on a harvesting contract for soybeans on Field 1. Delivered to the logistics east rail selling station and earned a £4,000 bonus from the surplus — a tidy boost.

Field prep: Set a worker to cultivate the lime we applied last episode so the field will be ready when the corn planting window opens after winter.

Slurry & fertilising contracts: Filled the tanker with slurry (£1,194) and completed a fertilising contract on Field 3.

Contract payouts: Collected £9,844 for the harvesting contract and £2,617 for the fertilising contract — pushing our bank to £22,521.

Additional slurry work: Topped up the tanker again (£611) and spread slurry on the grass field (mown for silage in Ep.5) to boost nitrogen for next year’s first-cut silage.

Herd expansion: Ended the year by buying 6 more Holstein milk cows (£9,000) — bringing the dairy herd to 32 cows to increase winter milk revenue while the Highlands are blanketed in snow.

Season closeout: With seedbeds ready and livestock prepped, the farm heads into winter with stable finances and a clear Year 2 plan.
