Version 1 I am flying here is discontinued in favour of V2 which has been out just a few weeks. V2 is a couple of grams heavier but the skids are far more durable along with the tail boom/mount/motor mount weakspots removed and absolutely a more robust option. On top of that, it also has an 'Open FC' that allows changing parameters from the default level of 5 down to 1 and up to 9 with push buttons on the FC and apparently upgraded FETS on the ESC's too. Of course if you have a V1, you can upgrade all newer frame parts to fit the skids and tail from V2 after crashes. Thanks for that OMP but i'd also like to see them sort a way for Version 1 early adopters to also change the FC parameters with an updated firmware. Do I think that will happen? Nope. Will most V1 pilots care? Probably not but I do and I know at least 3 others that did enough to upgrade their FBL unit.

There's also a slightly less expensive 'Explore' version of that same V2 that is a few grams lighter but has a nylon swashplate and blade grips along with polycarbonate case servos. Performance is identical otherwise. Included spares for both now only consist one 1 main shaft, 1 feathering shaft, 1 pair of blades and a set of servo horns. They also now have a really well fitting EPP box.

We now have a UK Supplier/Vendor for OMP helis and parts with Steve at ScotiaRC. My V2 was ordered from him and arrived next day and his spares are well stocked so far.
