Disclaimer: i wrote All Its Bodies when i wanted to hurt myself, and the years it's taken me to get to a point where i can view those temptations externally are indescribably hard. people say to talk when you want to hurt yourself or feel depressed, but are often not ready for the whole honesty these descriptions hold; they want a digestible, text book definition. in that moment, instead of following it through, i wrote a song that represents that frame of mind brutally, honestly and without fear. AIB is about the addiction of self-destruction, it's about the affects of absorbing other people's projections onto you and it's about the strain of male gaze that fetishises mental illness. if you believe this song may trigger you or you could potentially glorify it into a trigger, please don't listen to it. take care of yourself.
