To lead or to be led: a common defence for a powerful Europe
📍 Paris, 15 May 2025 - 7.30pm
In an increasingly unstable world, Europe must choose power and unity. The European Union can no longer depend on external alliances: it must equip itself with a genuine common defence policy that is credible, autonomous and true to its values.
Organised by the European Democratic Party, this event is part of the "To lead or to be led" campaign, which is calling for a strategic awakening in Europe.
Four personalities will be at the heart of the discussion:
Sandro Gozi, MEP and Secretary General of the PDE
Maud Gatel, Secretary General of MoDem
Yvan Verougstraete, MEP and President of Les Engagés
Philippe Michel-Kleisbauer, former French MP.
They will be interviewed by Laure Niclot and Alice Bernard-Montini, alongside other members of the Young Democrats.
