I've been keeping an eye out for an old pair of scissors for some time, and this visit to the antique shop I took home two scissors, this rusty set looks like it is more work than it is worth, but I thought I'd take a shot at restoring it.
I'm not too interested these days in grinding rust off when there are better methods, so in this quick video I show you one that is a huge time saver and prevents excessive removal of the good materials. Vinegar (Acetic acid) is one good method which I have used, it removes rust and also etches iron, Muriatic acid does the same, but at a much faster rate.
