Christina Leaño serves as associate director and senior director of movement building and eco-conversion of the Laudato Si’ Movement, a global movement mobilizing the Catholic family worldwide to turn Pope Francis’ encyclical letter, "Laudato Si’: On Care for our Common Home"
into action for climate and ecological justice. She brings over 25 years of leadership on social and environmental justice issues in various non-profit and educational settings.
Christina is also a retreat leader and meditation teacher who is passionate about exploring the intersection of spirituality and social and ecological justice. She grounds her programs in her training in Christian and Buddhist contemplative practice, mindfulness, mindful self-compassion, and forest
Therapy. Christina holds a B.A from Yale University and M.A. in systematic theology from the Graduate Theological Union in Berkeley, CA. Christina lives in the New York City area with her daughter and beloved labradoodle.
