This is always one of my favourite things I enjoy about Rye 👇 I love mechanical clocks. & seeing/hearing this one in action = with it's balance regulator & massive pendulum ticking away, & when striking the hours "the strike flywheel spinning round" 👌🙂.
Must admit, I didn't intend to actually be that near the bell, when it started striking! & for several hours afterwards = I had a ringing in my left ear & had to ask my mates to keep repeating themselves, lol "those bells are ridiculously loud" = especially the great hour bell!!
