Cutting a sphere from a chunk of Indian Blanket Jasper that was collected by my brother several years ago near Enterprise, Utah.
For this sphere I made 28 cuts with the saw to get it into it's rough sphere shape. After cutting, I used the Genie to grind the rough shape, and then put it in the sphere machine. I used 80 grit silicon carbide to get the sphere to its final shape, and then used a series of polishing rings to sand and polish the sphere (grits: 100, 200, 300, 500, 800, 1000, and 3000).
