During my visit in Kyoto, after being confronted with enormous crowds, I quickly decided to move away from all the touristic and packed spots and find a more quiet and peaceful place to properly enjoy my visit. I kept looking for a more authentic experience and a place that wouldn't be overcrowded with tourists.
I was very lucky to come across the Kodai-ji Temple, a temple of Zen Buddhism. This is a remarkably beautiful and surprisingly quiet place with charming temples, wonderful gardens and a magnificent bamboo forest. This was probably one of my favourite places during my visit in Kyoto.
I happened to have my camera with me so I took the chance to document my visit. This is my photographic journey to the Zen temple of Kodai-ji in Kyoto, Japan. I hope you enjoy!
