Gair Kaanooni is a 1989 Indian Hindi-language action drama film directed and written by Prayag Raj. The movie stars Govinda and Sridevi in lead roles, supported by Kimi Katkar, Shashi Kapoor, Ranjeet, Kader Khan, and a special appearance by Superstar Rajinikanth. The film was a box-office hit and was later dubbed in Tamil as Rakkamma Kaiyathattu.

Plot Summary
Officer Kapil Khanna is a strict, honest cop trying to bring down mafia don D’Costa. He takes help from his noble underworld friend Azam Khan, who gathers evidence but gets killed by D'Costa’s men. Azam’s young son Akbar blames Kapil Khanna and swears revenge.
Meanwhile, D’Costa switches newborn babies in the hospital, leading to a major emotional and legal battle. Years later, destiny brings everyone face-to-face, revealing shocking truths about crime, betrayal, and justice.
