Parts of city estate closed off by police.
Large number of police have sealed off a area around Taylor Road after a stabbing this afternoon.
The air ambulance did attend but the injured man went to hospital by road ambulance.
Leicestershire Police spokesperson said: 
“Police were called shortly after 3pm today (21 September) to a report of a man seriously injured in the area of Taylor Road and Kashmir Road, Leicester.
Officers attended the scene to find the injured man who had sustained a stab wound. He has since been taken to hospital where he remains in a serious condition.
A cordon is in place at Kashmir Road, Taylor Road and Dysart Way between Belgrave Circle and Catherine Street while officers carry out enquiries in the surrounding area.
Enquiries are at an early stage to determine the circumstances leading up to the man sustaining his injuries.
Anyone with information is asked to contact police on 101 quoting incident 372 of 21 September.”
