Huge Copper Ore at the Caledonia Copper Mine in the UP of Michigan

Hey Everyone, Welcome to the channel! I hope you enjoy this video of the cooper ore we found at the Caledonia copper mine. We visited the mine in early October, and the autumn scenery was absolutely beautiful. We had a great time spending a few hours at the mine and we even found some really nice copper ore specimens. My wife and I purchased the family size ore pile and it took us about 2.5-3 hours to extract all the copper. We used a metal detector and a pin pointer to speed up the process, which I highly recommend. I brought home about 5 gallons of rough ore samples from the mine. Make sure you bring a 5 gallon bucket (with a lid) to take your ore home in. I hope you enjoy watching the process of cleaning the ore and getting it ready to show off. If you happen to find yourself in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan this place is a must visit in my opinion. The owners of the mine were friendly, helpful, and excited to help us get set up to find some copper. Be prepared to get wet and a little dirty.
