I’ve been a horror fan since at least my early teens, and this is as close as I’ll ever get to realising one of my dreams of making a horror film. I’m not claiming it’s a cinematic masterpiece: it’s my first attempt at telling a story in images and if I had a better camera and a clearer vision at the start it would have been much easier. Nevertheless, I’m very pleased with what we’ve achieved.
Thanks to Dan Blood for his initial filming of my playing. It was supposed to be part of a film project about musicians that never actually happened. Or if it did, I’m not in it! I’m so very grateful to Suay Özkula and Jake Cook for helping me film the other parts. I could have done it without them but it wouldn’t have been anywhere near as good as it would have lacked that point-of-view handheld camera vibe and their creative input. Besides, hiding in bushes in a that outfit by myself might have got me in trouble.
