इस महीने त्योहारों के बीच किसानों को गन्ना मूल्य बढ़ाने, किसानों की फसल का पूरा बकाया भुगतान देने और स्मार्ट मीटर जैसी कई मांगो पर शामली जिलाधिकारी के दफ्तर पर प्रदर्शन किया। यह परेशानी कई सालों से चल रही है, और प्रशासन की तरफ से किसानों को कोई राहत नहीं।

Amid the festive season this month, farmers staged a protest outside the Shamli District Magistrate’s office, demanding an increase in sugarcane prices, full payment for their crops, and the removal of the smart meter system. Farmers said these issues have persisted for years, yet the administration has provided no relief so far.

उत्तर प्रदेश ज़िला शामली में बकाया गन्ना भुगतान ना मिलने के कारण आस-पास गांव के किसानों ने शामली शुगर मिल पर धरना दे रखा है समय पर भुगतान न करने और मिल प्रशासन के झूठे वादों से परेशान होकर किसानों ने शामली कलेक्ट्रेट की और कूच किया लेकिन प्रशासन ने उन्हें सड़क पर ही रोक दिया जिसकी वजह से किसानों ने सड़क पर ही अपनी मांगों के साथ धरना शुरू कर दिया ।

In Shamli district of Uttar Pradesh, farmers from nearby villages staged a sit-in protest outside the Shamli Sugar Mill over non-payment of their pending sugarcane dues. Frustrated with the mill administration’s false promises and repeated delays, the farmers marched toward the district collectorate. However, they were stopped midway by the authorities, prompting them to begin their protest right there on the road.
