I wanted to make a little video for the admins of our Moon Kitty Mixup group (or MKM, for short) that they could send to prospective new members to alert them to the theme and mission of the group. I thought I should make this public just in case members of the audience would like to learn more about it too!
Our MKM group is very small (on purpose) and unique (ditto), kind of like our wig store. We like to let the customers and moderators control the conversation and ebb and flow of the group. Because I (Heather) am relatively hands-off with it, we have a set of 10 very important community rules that people need to follow in order to be admitted and remain in the group. This video discusses all of that in more detail. I also talk about why I created this group as a deliberate escape from grief focused support groups.
