Curtin University Professor of Global Futures Joe Siracusa discusses the Trump administration's plans to designate the Mexican cartels as terrorist organisations.
"He's [Trump] has put the Mexican cartels on the … foreign terrorist watch list, so he is going to war with the cartels – you are going to need half the US army on the border," Mr Siracusa told Sky News Australia.
"The cartels are armed to the teeth."
