In this video, I’m reacting to a breakdown of why Star Trek: Starfleet Academy looks bad and doesn’t make sense. The show ignores established Star Trek canon, plays fast and loose with the timeline, and adds characters that realistically should not exist in this era. Instead of feeling like classic Star Trek, it comes off confusing, inconsistent, and poorly thought out.

I talk about the writing problems, lore contradictions, and why longtime fans are frustrated with modern Star Trek on Paramount Plus. If Starfleet Academy is meant to expand the Star Trek universe, it should respect the rules that made the franchise work in the first place.
