This short peice is taken from a documentary/news article shown just before the 1980 Olympics.Unfortunately most of my old tape is rather mangled! The only other part extant was the 5000m.race from that year's Yorkshire Championships,which is elsewhere on this channel.Any more info would be appreciated.Special mention must go to the coach George Gandy(about 1.10 in)who should receive a medal for perhaps the strangest hairstyle known to man (even by 80's standards,it's weird !)
