Better Feeding, Better Insulation and best of all, Better Clustering. Help the bees survive winter and provide them with a central area for feeding that is insulated with moisture wicking material and allows them to cluster in an efficient ball instead of smashing between frames to try and stay warm. We recommend leaving your inner screen cover on instead of a solid inner cover because the insulated compartments cut down on air flow through the hive enough on their own. We would still recommend some sort of foam or other cover on top of the lid to help insulate the top. Remember, moisture kills a hive far more than cold, so help them stay warm and dry with these tested and proven winter boxes!
