Oh, how good it feels to be back playing Metal Gear Solid 5.
You know, for as much stress as this game gives me, I love it so goddamn much.
The last time I dove into this game, I attempted my take of this challenge called the Jarhead Challenge. And for the sake of this video being needlessly long, I’m not going to take the time to explain that challenge here, but you can find more information on it in the links below.
But I mention that video because, in the comments, I had a few people suggest that I attempt a full No Traces run.
Now, I don’t get into the weeds too much into games, most of the time. Meaning I rely on my own knowledge to get me through every new challenge my sick mind comes up with. Some of these may be hard out of ignorance of an underutilized system, but I like to keep it that way. I really only ever look things up if I get absolutely stuck. Relating this back to MGSV; no, I did not know holding up an enemy has essentially an everlasting incapacitating effect. No, I did not know you could speed up the lockpicking animation. No, I did not know that this was pronounced “Vi-count”. No, I did not know that, you all get the point.
Honestly, I appreciated all the helpful comments and nuggets of knowledge because they helped me come up with my latest and greatest run. And since MGSV doesn’t have one, I’m calling this challenge, MGSVs Unofficial Big Boss Ranking.
