Hi guys! This video discusses the source free RL circuits. When we say source feee, the circuit does not contain any independent voltage or current source. The initial current of the inductor will energize the cicuit. This is called the natural response of the circuit.We consider also the L/R time constant of the circuit which dictates how fast the initial current of the circuit will decay exponentially. The lower the time constant, the faster is the decay the current.Conservation of energy is depicted here as the initial current or energy witihin the inductor, will then be transferred to resistors. Considering a five L/R contant can denote that the waveform settles to approximately zero already.
