Big flatwings are one of my go-to patterns for Autumn bass fishing. They are effective in most situations with various retrieves including simply swinging the fly. This is one of my best patterns for October and November. Take your time tying these multi-feather flatwing flies and try to get the profile as good as you can. They swim fantastic in the water.
