We are moving onto another show, and this is the continuation of that series. We visit the 2025 Goodguys Summit Racing Nationals in Columbus, OH for another year at the Ohio Expo Center & State Fairgrounds. It was held July 11-13, 2025. This is the biggest show for the Goodguys show circuit and you will always see some of the biggest builds of the year showcased here culminating in the crowning of both the Street Rod and Street Machine of the Year awards!

In this video, we look at this year's Street Machine of the Year competition. The field for this award is always large and always has a lot of awesome builds of the highest quality. I filmed most of the video outside before they drove into the Celeste Center to display for the rest of the show. I even filmed all the cars driving over which I enjoy more than anything because seeing the cars on the move is better than anything to me.

This video's thumbnail is of a build that holds a special place in my heart because my first car was a G-Body (granted nowhere this level of cool lol). It is a 1987 Buick Grand National built by Dutchboys Hotrods and owned by Angelo Vespi. Looking at the outside initially, you may not see that much customization, but the devil is in the details. It sits on a custom chassis with Detroit Speed suspension components, received GNX inspired flares that were fabricated, custom front lip, and all the plastic pieces that were stock on the body were recreated in metal and replaced. Oh, and those wheels are custom one-off designed wheels by Rushforth and machined by Greening Auto Company. The interior also looks very stock like, but it is completely custom. It was 3D scanned, and then 3D printed and/or machined all the interior pieces with little tweaks and custom touches throughout. Everything was covered in leather and suede. Looking under the custom modified hood, this is where the subtleties end when you see a 1400hp twin turboed LS7 all packaged nicely in a nice jewelry box with custom panels to finish it out nicely.

Onto the competition!

I am going to continue to accommodate different viewing styles. I am going to release two different editions of each video a day apart from each other and see how having dual formats works out. I will do my videos like I have always done for those that enjoy that format. In addition, I will release a second video which is exactly the same except it will not contain music and will be the raw sound from the show. The raw sound version will obviously have raw sound in the title of the video and will also have a Raw logo on the thumbnail. This way, you can choose the format that you prefer and view accordingly.
