Arnold starting his 1927 500cc OHV Norton on the Mid Week Old Crocks Ride hosted by the Veteran & Vintage Motorcycle Club of South Australia. These rides are specially put on to suit and encourage Tiddlers and Veteran & Vintage Motorcycles. They always start at Gumeracha to avoid the traffic in the Metropolitan area and depending on what machines are present they determine on the day how far and where they are going to ride too. Generally it is 50 to 60 kilometers.
