The Day Opportunities centre at Ravenhill Road in Belfast is one of a number of similar facilities managed by Belfast Trust. They exist to help people recover from or manage difficulties with their mental health, with arts and craft classes, music, woodwork, gardening and physical activity such as cycling in groups. If someone is referred for a programme at one of the centres, they can discuss what is best for them to help with their recovery. In this short film we see how the centres help everyone who uses them, and Michael who has been using the Ravenhill centre, tells us how he has improved after a long battle with addiction which affected his mental health.
