Not that you would know as you overlook the gorgeous blue ocean. Hua Hin is a big beach destination for Thai people who escape Bangkok for a weekend break. However, Hua Hin is also home to many expats looking for the sun and the beach. From beaches to Thai street food and beautiful nature nearby, I can understand why Hua Hin has always been a popular holiday destination. But, should you visit Hua Hin in 2025? Well, come with me and find out what Hua Hin is really like now and if you should come when you visit Thailand.

Finding the best authentic Thai food Hua Hin Thailand is a little bit of a challenge. There is a lot of great western food in Hua Hin. But if you are craving traditional Thai food or Thai street food, then you need to look a little harder. However, if you are willing to get away from the main tourist areas then you can find some great Thai food in Hua Hin. Let's face it, it is nice to have some home comforts but if you come to Thailand, even Hua Hin street food is something you have to try.

Before going to eat the meal, I stop off at Wat Khao Takiap, a beautiful mountain temple with plenty of monkeys. But the star of the show here is the view over Hua Hin, the coastline and Hua Hin Beach. It is breathtaking, especially at sunset.

After seeing the viewpoint, I go to the local restaurant to eat some of the best food I have eaten in Hua Hin. The restaurant specialises in Isan food. I eat Gai Yang (grilled chicken), Mango Som Yum) Yum Naem Khao Tod (crispy rice salad with fermented pork) and Tom Saap (Spicy Pork Rib Soup).
