My First DIY Project in Ireland! Growing Potatoes in November + Microgreens & Garden Beds!

Welcome to Heather's Backyard! In this episode, I'm sharing the progress on my very first DIY greenhouse project here in Ireland. Along with building and filling wood-frame garden beds and starting a fresh batch of microgreens, I'm also experimenting with something new – growing potatoes in November!

Can it be done? Growing potatoes this late in the season might be a challenge, but I'm excited to see how it goes. Inside the greenhouse, I recently installed handmade wooden garden beds, added a base layer of cardboard to suppress weeds, and tackled the tricky task of cleaning up soil full of stones and grass. It's all coming together, one step at a time!
