Springtime muskie hunting in northern Wisconsin usually means battling wind, cold weather and above all cold water temps! So being patient and using lures that can "pull" muskies out of hiding early on is a big part of what it takes to be successful. Even with water temps cracking into the mid-60's bucktails are certainly in the mix but using smaller sized blades, like the Buchertail 500 tinsel series, can really make a big difference in triggering a reaction follow and in this case, a strike! But as you can see on this hunt, cold water muskies often follow and then dart off so using your electronics to help find them can make all the difference in scoring a touchdown!
