It's believed that Thundereggs form in ancient lava flows when mineral rich fluid filled the void spaces created by gas bubbles. Of course this process takes a really long time, but here we are revealing the inner beauty of all those wonderful minerals! FUN FACT: Thundereggs are called that due to a Native American legend that says they were hurled by angry mountain spirits during thunderstorms, similar to the mythical thunderbird's eggs!
