Bangladesh News: Third Hindu Man Killed In 10 Days In B'desh, Bajendra Biswas Shot Dead By Coworker

A Hindu garment worker deployed as a security guard was shot dead by a colleague inside a garment factory. This incident happened in Bangladesh's Mymensingh district. This is the third killing of a Hindu man reported in Bangladesh within the past two weeks. Victim has been identified as Bajendra Biswas (42), an Andar member posted at the factory. Police said the accused, Noman Mia (29), was also serving as an Ansar member at the same unit. In Bangladesh, Ansar is a uniformed auxiliary force under the Ministry of Home Affairs. During an interaction, Noman Mia allegedly pointed a govt issued shotgun at Biswas in a casual manner. Moments later, the firearm discharged, with the bullet hitting Biswas in left thigh. This comes amid heightened scrutiny over safety of religious minorities in Bangladesh following two other killings reported earlier this month.
