After the first test run, there was a bad bearing knock. During assembly, I noticed the big end bearing felt a little bit tight but I thought it was okay. It obviously was not. I pressed out the pin removing the bearing and we were able to source a new bearing locally.
After replacing it, it felt even tighter. When running it sounded a bit better but still bad.
I stripped it down again and with some emery cloth took about half a thousandth of an inch off of the pin diameter just to loosen the bearing.
After assembly, I ran the engine slow as if a new engine and gave it time to run in.
The knocking sound was gone and it sounds good.
The final test Wil be to fly it.
