We head north from Winterhaven up toward the Picacho State Recreation Area. The route to get there has extraordinary views of mountains and desert. We enjoy beautiful sunsets and a 54-site campsite pretty much to ourselves. If you have the chance, we would highly recommend going there. The views on the drive in are spectacular, and the campsite itself is beautifully situated.
