I know I mention it multiple times in the video but for some clearer context: I started this video over a year ago in April 2024 a few weeks after RecVideoChat was published. I thought a bunch of really interesting stuff happened surrounding the room and I wanted to make a high quality video showcasing all of it. My goal was to make a video that I personally thought was better than my 24 hours in Rec Room video, which I generally still considered to be my "best" video. I wrote a script, planned 200+ shots of b roll including after effects animations, acted shots from the VR streamer cam, simpler screen recorded shots from screen mode, etc.

However, early into this planning, some events happened in my personal life that impacted me more than I think I knew at the time. Bringing myself to do any kind of self-motivated work became incredibly difficult and progress on the video became very slow. I'd work on the video for a few days, and then not touch it for nearly a month. Before I knew it, many months had passed and I didn't have much to show for it. "The RecVideoChat Video" became a really large mental burden on me. I was upset at myself for taking so long on something that I knew I should've been able to finish in just a month or two, even if it was one of the largest video projects I'd ever taken on. I didn't want to start on any new projects until I'd finished this one, and my productivity just slammed into a wall because of it. I thought about scrapping the whole video a lot, but I always decided that I needed to just finish it.

At the beginning of this year things started slowly getting better for me, personally. I started getting some more consistent work done on the video, and with some extra motivation from my lovely partner, I was finally able to get it done. Is it the masterpiece I originally imagined? I don't know. I think it's a pretty standard BVR video, just a bit longer. I don't know if I can confidently say it's my best video yet as I had hoped when I began work on it. I don't really know how wide of an audience this video even has or if anyone will enjoy it. Half of it is like, technical Rec Room creation focused, and then the other half is random small anecdotes I don't know if anyone will care about. If I started on this video now, there are a lot of things I would do differently. But for the sake of getting the video actually done, I just proceeded with what I already had instead of redoing a bunch of it.

That being said, I'm so glad to be done with it. For me this marks the end of that chapter in my life and I'm soooo ready to do new things. IM BRINGING THE BILLEHBAWB CHANNEL BACK!!!! MAYBE IM DONE WITH REC ROOM I DONT EVEN KNOW!!!! hahahahaha im just so glad to have it off my mind. thank you for sticking around this long and reading all this, I hope you'll stick with me for whatever I do next :)
