The Transport Department has called on law enforcement to take strong
action against unroadworthy taxis ferrying passengers to many areas
across the country.
This comes after a Tik Tok trend #BrokenTaxisChronicles shared experiences of their taxis that are in bad conditions. Transport Department spokesperson Collen Msibi, Automobile Association spokesperson Eleanor Mavimbela, National Taxi Alliance spokesperson Theo Malele and South African National Taxi Council spokesperson Rebecca Phala discuss this further.
