Their are many reason to love Siquijor and one of that is their locals. You can easily get along with them because they are friendly and approchable. Their are a lot of affordable karenderya each town so no need to spend too much for your food during the trip.
I would suggest to take the earliest ferry trip from Dumaguete so that you have ample time for your day trip in the island. The good thing of being early is that you can enjoy each destination wilth less people😅 if your trip happen to be during the peak season
