''Prove them Wrong'' - 3 years with Andorra

It's been 3 years since my life totally changed today.

3 years Andorra became my own horse. I already took care of her by then for like 3 months. She was totally green, shy & sweet. I brushed her and sometimes I took her with me to the riding area just to walk but without succes.

When she became my own we placed her at a very tiny barn with 3 other horses, a pasture & a little riding area. I began walking with Andorra around the house, letting her get used to blanked etc. etc. That all went very nice and before I forget to mention it; Andorra was pregnant by then.

After 4 months we went back to the stable I met her. She got her foal there, I already sat some times on her back wich went incredibly well. When her foals was old enough her got sold and I started riding her more and more. She behaved so well and after some lessons she knew how to relax and it was just great.

Then there was an accident with her leg which gave her a big wound on her front leg. I couldn't ride her for like 2 months and after that I started lunging again. That went horrible. Andorra pulled on the rope like she had to run away from a lion or something. It just wasn't possible. Riding wasn't great either. She immediately wanted to run away, started t buck or just protesting. It felt like we didn't work anymore.

I started doing groudwork, work on myself and letting her more free. So I started playing in the area while she was in total freedom. That changed everything basically. We started to feel each other again. Workin as a team together, again. It just felt right.

Last summer we moved, we have a beautiful peaceful barn and Andorra is enjoying her horse life to the edgeee. We do a lot there. Riding outside, neckrope riding, dressage, playing and everything and more.

I just can't describe my happines and grace to be able to have a friend like her. It's the most special thing in the whole world I think, thank you Andorra.
