At the end of my Cuba trip - Some final Memories of Havana.
Across the road from the waters of Bahía de la Habana, this historic hotel with art deco details dates from 1930. It's 3.1 km from Old Havana and 8 km from the Tropicana Club.
The elegant rooms have old-world decor, and include minibars and TVs with premium channels. The 1- and 2-bedroom suites include separate living areas, and some have terraces. Room service is available 24/7.
Breakfast and parking are complimentary. The hotel has 3 restaurants, a casual cafe and 3 bars. Other amenities include 2 outdoor pools, a tennis court and a fitness room with a sauna. Massage services and regular live entertainment are available.
The Museum of the Revolution is a museum located in the Old Havana section of Havana, Cuba. The museum is housed in what was the Presidential Palace of all Cuban presidents from Mario García Menocal to Fulgencio Batista.
Miramar - Many embassies, including the landmark Russian embassy, are located in Miramar - in particular on Quinta Avenida (Fifth Avenue) before called Avenida de las Américas (America avenue).
Prior to the Revolution, the neighborhood was home to many of Havana's upscale residents. There are many large houses and mansions here. This district and the Country Club (Cubanacán) were the most glamorous spaces in the Havana of the 50s. There are also some of Havana's more modern hotels such as Hotel Melia Habana, Oasis Panorama Hotel and Occidental Miramar, beaches and private rental houses (known as casas particulares). Also located here is the International School of Havana.
In the late 1990s and 2000s, several office blocks have been built in a complex called Centro de Negocios Miramar - the "Miramar Trade Center".
