In this video, I show how to fault find and troubleshoot the glass scales on a typical lathe or mill DRO system. I explain the types of signals that are output by a DRO glass scale, and how to use an oscilloscope to make sense of these. I also explain how glass scales work, as well as talking about some of the terminology associated with them.
