Let's investigate some simple curves in the complex circular world. This is a geometric aspect of looking at Fourier series algebraically. We look at some analogs of "parabolas" in this context, and rediscover some classical properties of the limacon, a variant of a cardioid, and perhaps discover something new.
This suggests a broad new avenue of explorations for amateur mathematicians interested in geometry and the complex world, which plays such a big role in quantum mechanics.
