The new Nest Thermostat has a mirrored screen and uses touch sensor located on the side of the device rather than a rotating outer ring like previous generations on the Nest Thermostat. To control the Google Nest Thermostat you either tap the touch sensor or slide your finger on the side of the touch sensor to make selections.

The latest version of the Google Nest Thermostat no longer works on the Nest app and is instead connected directly to the Google Home App for control.
