When a lost gosling wanders into the backyard, Stella and Sam set out to reunite it with its family. It doesn’t look like the other geese at Felix’s farm, so they conclude it’s a goose from the wild. After naming her Sally and spending lots of time playing together, Sam’s attachment to the little goose grows. Eventually, Sally is drawn to the nearby calls of her mom and dad. Sam has mixed feelings about saying goodbye to his new friend.
