Hello friends, welcome back to “MaylianG Music World”! I am Maylian G (原梅).

This video captures my absolute "Golden Hour" of this year. This summer, I had the incredible honor of attending the prestigious Juilliard Summer Music Percussion program. This performance was recorded live at the final Student Recital on that dream stage.

The piece I am performing is "Verano Porteño" (Summer tango), a masterpiece from "The Four Seasons of Buenos Aires" by the legendary tango composer, Astor Piazzolla.

Interpreting this work on a 4-mallet marimba—capturing the intense passion, tension, and melancholy inherent in Argentine tango—was a significant challenge and a profound growth experience for me. Countless hours in the practice room culminated in these few minutes on stage. Every beat resonates with my dedication and my reflections on the world through music.

This is more than just a performance; it is a shining milestone in my musical voyage. I hope that through the screen, you can feel the heat of that tango summer and resonate with the music.
