We finally visited Brooklyn’s “Japan Village.”
I hoped it would remind me of the old East Village days—Japanese shops, food, and warmth.
But what we found was… something else. A quiet, lonely corner of New York, far from what it used to be.
A jobless dad, a Korean wife, and our baby daughter spend one day exploring what remains of Japanese culture in Brooklyn—before heading home for a warm homemade dinner: kimchi jjim and tamagoyaki.
It’s not a glamorous vlog—just an honest record of how a small family keeps living in a big city that’s slowly changing.
