Modern DT&I Mini-Update: September, 2025

Welcome back to the Modern DT&I!

I’ve been busy adding Scale Sound Systems speakers to the fleet. 225 and 406 are the latest examples. 225’s P5a horn is my new favorite thing.

New to the roster is NS SD60 6564. It is a Proto2000 model I acquired second hand, and modernized with a frame stripe and other details. It has Tsunami 2 and a Scale Sound Systems speaker. NS power was common during GTW years on the prototype, and this unit lets me continue that.
Aren’t this SP trinity hoppers nice? They look great with the MDTI ones!
Lots more sound upgrades to show off in the coming weeks…stay tuned!

New to the family are two orange kittens…fitting, right? Patsy and Eddie (AbFab, anyone?) have learned the layout room well, and are already very well behaved. Safety first, like their coach Chessie would say!
